What brand of fuel pump?
Sounds like a defect.
Hook up a Fuel pressure gauge to it and watch for the pressure when the symptoms happens. If the pressure falls out of spec, it is probably the pump.

IF you used anything brand other than delphi, it would not surprise me. IF you change it out again, be sure to do the filter again.

Diagnosing is the act of troubleshooting. A symptom can be troubleshot, a check engine light can be troubleshot.

The CEL was diagnosed (troubleshoot) and the cause was appearantly the module.

The module replacement appearantly repaired the reason for the CEL to light up.

Now you have a symptom of hesitation/lack of power. This is diagnosed or troubleshot as I said in my first post.

I hope that clears it up a little.
