I have been driving this car for almost 20 years. Last year I spent about $2000.00 on it in repairs to get it to where I thought it was safe to drive. It is low mileage. I was making a right hand turn into a driveway and the car died on me. It started up right away. I looked at the indicator lights, none were on. However the little oil gage can on the optional gage cluster was going over 120 and the car seemed to be running a little rough. I drove home (about 5 miles and the oil gage can would go over 120 and then drop back down to 40. It kept doing this all the way home. I drove it this morning and the oil can gage went to 120 again and dropped down just below 120. I hope you can make some sense of this, as when I take it for repairs, some mechanics act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Any good advice I appreciate. Thanks

Check the oil presssure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings/sludge
