Will the newer 3.8 engines fit into my reatta? I'm trying to find an engine with a little more hp to put into my car

You may be able to go up to 1995, I believe the supercharged engine was available. 1996 and newer will fit, but you will be dealing with OBDII engine management.
Even so, you will have to fabricate some wiring connections and use the supercharged ECM.
It would be an interesting project.
Even more interesting would be the turbo Buick or Turbo Trans AM engines of 86-89, but they would be hard to find intact and cheap.
