tried to unlock my car today using the remote lock/unlock button, nothing happened. had to unlock door using the key, and now the car won't start. i think the remote may have malfunctioned, would this cause the car not to start? and if so, what do i do to fix this problem?

The passlock system does not reckognize your key anymore...it can be re learned...Turn the ignition to lock, turn to run the security light should light fo 10 mins then go off. when the light goes out to key to lock for no more than 5 secs.Repeat this proceedure 2 more times for a total of three times! Turn key to lock. Car should now start with the key!
