How hard is it to change the front rotors? I recently had my pads done and I was told to change the rotors so as possible, they want over 300.00 to do that.

Brake Rotor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
2. Remove the brake caliper assembly.
3. Remove the brake rotor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT : Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the rotor, and brake pulsation.

1. Clean the mating surfaces on the rotor and the wheel bearing flange.
2. Install the rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange.
3. Install the brake caliper assembly.
4. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
It's pretty easy it's only 1hr labor time's shop labor rate 80-100 per hr?They have aftermarket rotor's as low as 30ea depending on what quality you want to put on.
