I was driving one day when the car just shut off. I waited a few mins and restarted it. I got maybe a mile down the road and it died again. I went through this process 4 times, on the 4th time it wouldn’t restart and I had to have it towed home. I had the battery checked (it was bad) and replaced it. I also had the charging system checked and it was fine. I was trying to troubleshoot the car a little more this weekend. I have fuel (55 lbs) and fire.
I tried to start the car, which appeared to be dead so I jumped it. I was letting the car run waiting for it to die to check the fuel pressure again. Once the car was warm it did die, however, this time it wouldn’t restart and it seemed as if it had no power at all (no lights, door bell, etc) I was able to get the car jumped once more, however all the instrument lights flashed and the door ajar bell and turn signals as well sounded very slow and odd. I was able to get one test on the fuel pressure, which tested at 44 lbs this time but I’m unsure if the reading was even correct. I haven’t been able to start the car since then. I’m at a loss. Originally I thought it may be my crank sensor or fuel pump, but now I’m unsure. Could it possibly be the BCM or PCM? Thanks in advance for your time.
