1991 Other Buick Models gas dripping out of exhaust

just got car .dont have any history.runs great dont smoke just a gem in all aspects.spuratically can go to start and runs rough ,blue smoke out exhaust and dripping raw gas .can shut it off and good chance 1 hour later will run great again.looking for a good starting spot i know nothing about history or where to start.not a straigh 6 so im lost

When you notice the gas, how badly is it running? Does it sound like you have a few dead cylenders? Is the smoke actually oil burning or does it run extreamly rich? If it's rich, I would first check the fuel pressure regulator. If it's oil, take a look at the intake gasket. Also, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. See if anything has been stored in the computer.
