1999 LeSabre, V6, 28,000 miles, automatic trans. No sounds, smells, or fluid leaks.

The car was running great. I did nothing out of the ordinary but now it won't start, not even attempt to turn over. Battery is new and the cable connections are clean. All the accessories are getting power and work, ie. horn, lights, power locks, trunk release. The only thing different is the Security light is flashing. When the ignition is turned to accessory the following lights come on: Engine, temp., and security.

I've tried 2 different keys and neither will start the car. The codes were checked and a 0 came up.

Any suggestions?

[quote:8b2580da97="rambler guy"]your security on this vehicle wont prevent the engine from cranking. when the key is first turned on the computer runs a bulb check, thats why everything lights up. check your crank fuse and if thats ok, see if you have power to the "s" side of the starter solonoid when cranking(or trying to crank) if you have a good signal to the starter then the starter is at fault. good luck!!, Ron[/quote:8b2580da97]the security on this vehicle will prevent a groung path to the starter relay. This WILL prevent the starter from operating.I would recommend removing the steering wheel and inspecting the theft deterrent wiring to the ignition lock cylinder for a broken wire. This is a common problem.
