I have an intermittent scraping sort of noise coming from somewhere in the front of my car. It is worse after the car warms up and when going down a hill. It does not happen all the time but sometimes is very loud and other times no noise at all. My mechanic is unable to find a problem because it does not occur when he test drives the automobile.
