Transmission problem
2000 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When going up a slight hill the transmission will start popping back and forth from overdrive to 3rd. The only way to get it to stop is to depress the gas pedal enough to force the transmission into the lower gear...or to manually pull the selector lever into 3rd.
It will also pop between the two gears when the car is gently accelerated to approximately 50/55.
In normal everyday driving around town or on level highway driving there is no problem
