I just found out that the neutral safety switch has gone out on my 2000 Buick Lesabre. Does anybody have any idea how much this is going to cost to repair?

2000 Buick Lesabre... when cold the car runs fine, after say five minutes it will not go as if in idle, but only after a stop. Wait 3 minutes and it goes. it always starts, just wont go in any gear after a stop light when warmed up. No code appears except for map air sensor. Was told Neutral saftey switch is prob. cause. What do you think ? Thank You

Advance didn't really say, other than a mass air sensor because the car had another issue.
But this problem isn't giving a code at all. It just won't go after a stop, shut off engine 2-3 min
and it goes UNTIL a stop again so I just pull over knowing what will happen.
And where is NSS located if it's the fault, thank you, Saturntech9

If you follow your shifter cable it will lead you straight to the nss.Have you had your battery tested made sure your battery cables are clean and tight and had your alternator tested?Just to cover those bases? Also are sure there are no transmission codes? Is that mass air flow code active meaning does it coming back when its cleared?

Thankyou for follow up, so greatly appreciated. However, took it to a recommended trans repair shop and in my terms from them is hydraulics aren't working, metal in pan and they are doing a rebuild. Plus it did finally quit going at all and made a bad noise.
Cost for overhauling trans is better than junkyard bought and taking chances I guess
