1998 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 200,00 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
It has been snowing alot this season, and so I have had to use the windshield wipers quite a bit. The other day while driving they simply stopped. I checked the fuses, and they seem to be fine. The washer fluid still sprays as well. I cannot see anything that looks wrong. Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem could be, and if it is something I could fix myself?

The wiper blades can be moved by hand, and when I turn them on a whirring noise comes from what I assume to be the wiper motors.

its not the motor
check nut at the base of the wiper arm and also you may have to remove the plastic cover to reach the wiper links (tranny area)
check it may one broke off
