My Buick is making a loud clicking noise while idleing, not while in gear though. The oil level is not low. Any suggestions?

It seems like its coming from right around the serpentine belt. It does accelerate with the engine speed but it's a much quieter clicking while in gear. I would drive test it but i don't want to seize it up if it may be oil related. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Maybe belt noise spray water on belt see if noise changes or goes away. If so may need new belt

No it's too loud for that, i just changed the belt 6 months ago. I smell oil on the block too, if that means anything.
