I recently bought a 95 Lesabre roughly 185,000 miles. Previous owner took car into shop for tire repair. Not sure what happened, but he thought when they re-installed the wheel they may have damaged the wheel speed sensor. The problem is, 1st to second shift is fine, but after that ,there is no shift. He stated that it was fine before he took it in. My question is, does that sensor control shifting or ABS control. The computer portion checks out ok, it has been swapped and checked out that way. Also was wondering if it would be the speed sensor, on tranny. The speedo works fine. Very curious as to what to do. I've checked books and sites, but no answers.
