My car makes terrible noises when I put it inot reverse, and it doesn't go into gear. It also makes noises when shifting between 1st and 2nd gear. I haven't tried it on the highway for fear of getting stranded, so I don't know about the higher gears. It also makes some noise when its in park. The noise sounds like something rattleing against plastic. Could this be a transmission gone bad? I just got this car and had a 16 pt safety check and they said the transmission fluid looked good. There are no leaks that i can see.
