Transmission problem
1993 Buick Lesabre Two Wheel Drive Automatic 117,00 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 1993 LaSabre Buick with around 117,000 miles. The transmission oil was changed 30,000 miles back. A new water pump was put in Oct. 2006, and transmission flushed. I have oil changed every 3,000 miles. Then Oct. 2007 when oil was changed was told transmission oil was in the radiator and I needed to have a new radiator installed, so I did and had a transmission flush. Had oil changed again and they told me transmission was down 2 quarts, and that there was a leak in my transmission line. Now I just found that I have transmission oil (pink in color) in my reservior tank. What needs to be done now?

Take it back to the place that did the radiator, sounds like one of two scenarios.

First the radiator went bad internally again.

Secondly, the reservior was never cleaned out when the radiator went bad in OCT 07.

If you have trans fluid getting in the radiator, then you should have lots of coolant in the transmission. Trans fluid will only be under pressure when the engine is running. The cooling system can remain under pressure for a full day after the engine is shut off. Check your trans fluid and this should tell you if it's still leaking or if it's stuff left over from the previous repair.
