The transmission went on my Lesabre (if you stepped on the gas too hard it would rev up and not go anywhere), so I found a replacement transmission from a regal and had it installed. Although it bolted in fine and everything connected OK, apparently its not the identical transmission. So when you put it in drive or even put it in 1, it has very little power and only shifts once around 60 or 70km on the way to 90km/h.
The engine runs fine and idles fine, even in gear. It definitely seems like it is starting out in 2nd gear since it drives normal from 40km/h on up. How do I get it to go into first gear?
