1992 Buick Lesabre Hesitates, then stalls

When the ouside temperature exceeds approximately 90 degrees, and my car has been driven for approximately 20 minutes or more my car will hesitate then shutdown. I can wait maybe 3 to 10 minutes then the car will run fine for a short time. The more I drive my car the more it will occur. The problem will get worse as the outside temperature increases, I live in bullhead city, AZ. So it gets pretty hot. Whatever info you can give me I would appreciate.

Is your service engine soon light on? If so get the codes read, if no codes, check the crank sensor...

My service engine light came on and I did replace my crankshaft sensor, However my car continues to hesitate under the same condition's. Maybe you can confirm some information I read on the internet. I read that it could be do to a faulty fuel pump. When the outside temperature increase's and the car's operating temperature increase's that the fuel pump overheats causing it to first hesitate, then shutdown.

I still don't see the code! Yes a weak fuel pump can do this but so can't a malfunctioning EGR system, or ESC circuit....Go to Autozone and rent a fuel pump pressure test gauge...take the readings, if low pinch the return line and take that reading, get back to us with ALL info, even that code! I assume you have done the basic stuff already? The complete tune up? All filters? Looked inside the coil towers? They tend to rust, or corrode in there...

I would like to clarify my problems. My service engine light is not coming on at this time. Also because the climate is very cool, I am not experiencing any problems with my car at this time. and last when I do experiencie hesitation my service engine light does not come on. I would also like to add that my car 1992 Buick Lesabre 3.8L (Vin L) does not use a EGR valve

I said EGR system, not valve...all GM's of that vintage and newer have some type of exhaust gas recirculation...

you might just want to change your camshaft sensor i have buick 86 did same ch fuel pump pump relay every thing changed cam and crankshaft sensons has been fine since they work with each other
