runs without accelerator at 35mph

I own a 1992 Buick Century wagon with a 3.3l engine and 106,930 miles. Car starts and runs fine but lately after reaching 35mph will continue to run with out the accelerator being pressed and at times after coming to a stop gives the impression of stalling but does not. I feel it is running rich for lack of a better description.
