I have a 1993 buick century 4 door 3.3l v6 with 168000k

The front end of the car bounces and is sitting a lot lower to the ground then the back, so i called canadiantire and they said it would cost 680 bucks to put in new shocks and struts BUT i also talked to someone who said i could buy for 91 bucks each pre assembled shock/strut kit for my car that way avoiding having to use a spring compressor and all that hard stuff that us Non-mechanics hate so much ;) is this true or am i being fed a line of bull?

You can buy them pre-assembled. I'm not sure about $91 though, probably in the $150-190 range.
