The new battery was drained by the old alternator so i bought a rebuilt alternator. I started the car it drove 3 miles and it shut down. I jumped it and it started right up however my battery light was on so i let it run for about 5 minutes and it died and had to get jumped again, then the same thing happened. The battery and the alternator are both showing no voltage, however the alternator tested fine before i hooked it into the car. The fuses are all fine What else could it be??

Could be the battey not taking the charge-get it load tested to check its condition if okay -get the alternator checked out might not be putting out.
