1999 Buick Century head light switch

the bright head light switch will no longer click on. To get the brights..have to hold switch in place. Appears to have a piece broken in attachment on steering wheel. Can this be fixed ? Difficult to fix or does the attachmnet have to be replaced? The attachment is dimmer switch/, windshield wipers/washer , and signals.
