1998 Buick Century Replacing Blower Motor Resistor

While replacing the heater - blower motor resistor I inadvertingly dis-connected the wire / wires from this device, and now being ready to re-install it I am at a loss for the wire / wires that hook up to this device.
Is there any diagram or information that would tell me if there are 1 or maybe 2 wires to complete this installation. Thank You - RAY ([email protected])

Not sure what you mean. There should be one main plug for the resister.

The reason I am getting confused is that there is a plug in type of connector with 6 to 8 prongs inside of it (sort of oblong) that is also a part of that resistor - not sure if anything attaches to this in order for the resistor to function (making the 4 to 5 blower speed selections work).

Well, of course the component has to be plugged in. You had to have removed a wiring plug from the old one.
