I have a 1998 Buick Century. For 3 months my heater began to squeel for about 10 seconds when I first started the vehicle and turned the heater on. The heater started to not blow on any speed last week. I checked the fuses and they all seemed fine. I replaced the resister(which was burnt out) and still nothing. I decided to replace the fuses with new ones even though they looked fine. My heater blows on high speed now, but nothing else. Also a few months ago I noticed alot of liquid on my front passenger side floor around the same time my heater started acting up. I cleaned up the fluid and a few days later it happened again.I looked for a leak under the hood and dash and found nothing either time. There has been no leak since. I'm wondering if this was the original cause of the problem and made the resistor burn out. Any suggestions on why it blows on high only after replacing the resistor and what the fluid could have been?
