I started the car and had no inside heater at any settings then found out that the car cooling fan was also inoperative. Is there a relationship between the two or something that I can not find in the repair book. There is no warning light or check engine light that came on and everything else seems to work fine.

Inside heater is run off the blower motor. Located inside the passenger compartment, behind the glove box. The blower motor is powered by 3 fuses (low blower 20A, high blower 20A, and HVAC 10A: all of them inside your fuse block). From there, power goes through the blower motor resistor and to the blower motor. Check all three fuses, if they are all good, chances are that your blower motor has gone bad.

The radiator fans work independently of your blower motor. You may want to wait under the vehicle is at the optimum temperature prior to checking the fans for operation.

There should not be any warning light turning on for blower motor not functioning. But your temp gauge and warning light WILL turn on if the engine gets too hot (which means your radiator cooling fans don't turn on). MIL will not turn on for either problem, as well.
