3.1 engine known to have intake man. gskt problems

car started to run hot when i was on a trip. I nursed it home, and it was running allright except for running hot. no water was in the oil, i checked it periodically on the way home. the next day i started it and it was ok. on the way home from a short trip [2 mi] it started missing, and when i checed the oil this time it had a lot of water in it. I was going to pull the intake and check the gasket, but i did a compression test first on the front 3 cylinders and they were 150 - 140 - 100 now i'm thinking i should just replace engine. I just want opinions

if you had water in the engine, then you could have ruined the main and rod bearings.

i say, drain the water,
drain the oil
change the oil
start it back up and see what the oil pressure is and listen for any knocks

but be sure to shut the engine back down before it gets hot.

then you make your best guess after you see the oil pressure and do or dont hear any knocking.
