Electrical problem
1995 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116k miles

Well i go out to my 1995 buick century 3.1litre one day and try starting it, all that happens is the dashboard flicks for a split second and then nothing. I try jumping it by hooking up the positive and negative clamps directly onto the positive and negative knobs on the battery and try jumping it for 7-9 minutes to no avail... Later that day i come back and play with the battery a bit more and find out the positive knob is a bit loose, so after scrubbing up the positive and negative with sandpaper i tighten the positive til its tight on the battery and my car then starts.

only problem is, now my interior lights including my dash, my headlights, possibly my rear lights (havent seen them), my cig lighter, my power locks, my trunk release button all dont work. and to top it off my anti-lock icon on the dash is on and theres a noticeable unresponsiveness in my brakes now.. i have to apply more pressure to break and they arent as responsive.

What happened? i looked at a few fuses in the glovebox they're all alright im wondering if its a power relay or a fuse under my hood but i cant find anything im at a loss please help.

Check under the hood in the power distribution box for bad fuses. Also, make sure all grounds are in good condition and tight.
