A question....

My battery keeps dying on me..... sometimes, it just won't work and works again a couple hours later, other times, i have to get it jump started....
Now, my alternator charges at 15V, one mechanics tells me it's very bad, another one tells me it's normal for my car make and model..... either way, it doesn't seem to explain why my batteries works on and off... so i wondered what's right and what not?

Get the battery load tested, get it out of the way.

Get a voltmeter and read the battery voltage while engine is running you should have between 13.5 and 15.5volts anything over 16volts-your overcharging the battery and could ruin the battery. Think! voltage regulator its job is to control the alternator current output.

Double check all connections involved

Thank you.....
The alternator charges at 15V so i guess it's all right.......
Now, it may not be the alternator, i just can't figure out what drain my battery though (I don't even have lights in my car and i never turn on the headlight either, it's all automatic), the battery is 1 year-old and shouldn't die like that every week........
If anyone has an idea, i'd like to find out what's there to fix 'cause it's terribly annoying.... trying to get somewhere and being stuck with that..
