1989 Buick Century Radiator fan not working

After engine is idling for about 20 mins the engine is gurgling and starting the temp light comes on. I noticed the cooling fan wasn't running. Is there a fuse, or sensor that can be checked, or is it the fan?

yes, check fuses first. if all good than check cooling fan relay ( on bracket at right front corner of engine compartment )
