I have just complteted a head gasket replacement. Is there a certain torque to which the push rod arms need to be tightened ? Or just get them tight as I can & put the cover on ?

I think you mean the rocker arms, which are a pedestal type, right? I torqued mine (1992 3.3 liter) pretty snug, maybe around 35 ft-pounds, but with hydraulic lifters, which you have, the exact torque isn't critical. The main thing is to make sure the push rods are seated in the lifters.
