I need a diagram of the hood latch assembly cause when i pull on the cable it pops but hood will not open tryed using wd 40 will not work the latch where the hood comes up is messed up somehow please help???

i was in a car accident the hood does not look bent the latch seems to have something wrong but dont know what it is.

Welcome to the forum, have tried having a helper pop the top of hood with palm of hand, close to latch mechanism, as you pull the release mechanism? If nothing works, maybe you can remove the front grill, and reach it that way, after you get it open, you can lube everything. Sorry, I don't have diagram.
