Hi,
I washed the engine the other day and have had the engine running since then. Today I started it and let it warm up for about 5 minutes and shut it off. At that point the fan kept running. I didn't think too much about it and figured it would stop in a little while. It never would stop. I have to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Then it doesn't run again until I start it again and then it will not stop again. I checked and the temperature switch seems to be ok. I hooked up a new one and it still keeps running. It runs even with the switch disconnected. What else could be causing the fan to keep running? ....
When I turn the ignition on without starting the engine the fan stops. When I turn the key back off it starts up again.
Thanks in advance,
Bob
