I have a 1987 Buick Century, and somehow, when I have the hazzard flashers on, they flash like they should. However, when I step on the brakes, the hazzards stop flashing until I release the brakes. Is there a way to correct this. It seems unsafe to not have the hazzards flashing when they are needed, while pressing on the brake pedal.

rasmataz, what do you mean Inspect and test the directional/hazard switch. If you are referring to the idea that something could be wrong with the flasher can, that does not make sense.

The flashers flash like they should, except for when I apply the brakes.

Thanks for the information. I will print this string of communication out, and bring it in to the shop soon.

The last time I was there, they were telling me there is nothing that could be done, and I figured that can not be correct.
