Truck shut off while driving, timing chain broke

Truck shut off while driving. Mechanic said the timing chain snapped. Is this engine an interference or non interference engine? Trying to decide if it's worth fixing. Could there be other damage from when it snapped?

Good morning,

Although it does not show to be an interference engine, the engine running when it failed could cause damage to the valve train.

I would set the new chain and gears on and then before going anywhere else, do a compression test to verify no valve damage.

Do you know if it's an interference or non interference? I can't find anything online and the dealership doesn't know. I plan on getting rid of it soon, don't want to get into big money if there's more damage.

As I stated in my original post, it is not an interference engine. However, under certain conditions such as engine running under power, it can do valve damage at the time it breaks.
