Hello, I broke my timing belt on my car (ALH) and I got it checked out to see the damage done. I found out I bent the valves in my engine and the mechanic suggested that I try to find used parts. So, I found a complete cylinder head for around $300.00 will buying a used cylinder head solve my problem?

Yes, but you are buying unknown problems. You still have to have it installed and the old one removed. Typically we remove the old head, replace the bent valves, the reinstall it. Those valves cost less than $300.00. The only issue is the valves on a lot of import engines require special tools to replace and most independent shops would use them too little to pay to own them. The alternative is to send the head to an engine machine shop. That may be what your mechanic is trying to avoid.
