broken runner valve

Hi,

The only engines I'm showing for this vehicle are a 2.0L or a 2.0L turbo.

As far as the runner valve, are you referring to the variable intake switch-over valve? A runner is usually integral in the intake and not replaceable without replacing the intake.

I attached a pic below and highlighted the switch-over valve. Let me know if that is what you are referring to.

Please confirm engine size.

This is a C280. The C280 has 3.0 V6 engine, I need to replace the control arms connected to the vacuum valves on the outside front of the intake manifold that control the valves inside the intake. See image of the front of the intake manifold attached.

That makes sense now. I attached pics below of the component that is broken. The intake needs to be removed to replace that part. Take a look at pics 1 - 2 and confirm I got the right part.

If you don't remove the intake, you basically have no room to work on it.

The remaining pics are for the removal and replacement of the intake.

Joe, yes you have the correct parts. Why can't I remove the components in front of the arms(air pump, alternator, brackets, etc.) and then replace the mechanism I think it would be a less technical repair because I would not have to deal with harness removal and a bevy of gaskets?

If you can see access, I certainly try to do it that way. The removal of the intake was to provide room for you to work. I have to provide the manual's directions and recommendations. I hope you understand. If you feel confident that removal isn't needed, absolutely try it.
