Brakes locking up on rear passenger side

My brakes on the back right side of my vehicle locked up the other day. I could still drive but it wound up warping my rotor because I didn't notice for 4 or 5 miles.
I've had the rotors, calipers, pads, and lines replaced and still no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

If everything has been replaced, my first suspect is going to be the rubber brake hose that attaches to the caliper. Over time, they tend to break down inside. As a result, you can force brake fluid into the caliper to actuate the brake, but the brake isn't strong enough to force the fluid back into the system. Thus, the caliper doesn't release.

Let me know if that has been done.

The rubber lines have also been replaced. No dice. I am going to replace the master cylinder and see how that goes.

And it's only the one side that is locking up, correct? I can't see how the master cylinder would cause it.

Well apparently the front driver side is as well. According to my mechanic.

Hi,

That doesn't make sense. Well, I'm not saying it isn't locked, but the two aren't related hydraulically. Was the abs light ever on? I'm curious if you remove the ESP fuse if the brake would release. ESP is the electronic stability program. There is a module that controls the ABS and stability control. I'm starting to question if it has failed and is locking those wheels.

Here is another stupid question. Was the brake light switch replaced yet under warrant? I believe there was a recall. Just for the heck of it, confirm that it isn't loose and causing the pedal to be slightly depressed all the time.

Okay, sorry to get back so late afterwards. The master cylinder was replaced and now it slowly releases. But will stay locked for a bit if you hold the brake pedal for more than a few seconds. The ABS light never came on. And the brake light switch is fine and was replaced. And I'm not sure which fuse goes to the ESP system, wasn't listed. I have a button on my dash that allows me to shut off the ESP system and it's still doing the same thing after turning that off.

Was the caliper mount replaced at the same time as the caliper?

I don't believe the mount was replaced.

Do me a favor. It isn't uncommon for the brake pad hardware to swell because of the caliper mount rusting. Rust will build up and push on the hardware. The result is the pads get pinched and hang up. It's worth checking.
