Pedal travels to the floor when braking and the brakes don’t work great, bleed brakes haven’t sorted it, when the car is off, and I press the brake pedal until it’s hard it stays hard for a bit before going down again does this mean my brake booster is gone?

Does the booster make a hissing sound while driving, if not it is probably okay. It sounds more like the brake master has gone bad, or you have a seized caliper slide.

Please go over these two guides and get back to me:

And this can make the pedal go to the floor as well:

Let us know what you find.

Did you look at the guide? it would be the caliper slides you are checking, also if they are okay I would replace the brake master cylinder.

Can I ask if the brake pedal is good if you pump it, or does it just go to the floor all the time?

When I’m driving it if I press it a few times the brake seems to feel better.

To check if the booster is okay, with the engine off pull the vacuum line from the booter and you should hear air escape, if not the booster is bad. I would again check the caliper slides, not the piston. Can you upload images of the caliper so I can see what I am dealing with?

Yeah, I can hear air escape when I disconnect the pipe going to the booster and with the piston pushed back should I have a bit of movement in the Caliper to tell me the slides are okay I’ve had both the calipers off, and the slides come out fine.

Thanks for the images, it looks like you have the calipers on the wrong side, the bleeder should be at the top.
