When stopping the brakes push back against my foot and makes a noise?

It sounds like the ABS system is actuating. Do you find it takes a longer distance to stop or do you have to press harder on the brake pedal?

I suspect it is likely related to a failing wheel speed sensor. That is where I would recommend starting to check.

If you have a live data scan tool, go to wheel speeds and while driving, see if each wheel is turning at the same speed. If one of the sensors is off, that can cause this to happen.

Also, if you don't have a scan tool, you can check to see if there is a sensor that is bad using a voltmeter or multimeter.

Yes, my light is on thank you for the answer I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know. also, now I've got like a thumping in my steering wheel and gas pedal I can feel when I get to about 55. any thoughts?

Hi,

It could be a few things causing that. It could even be related to the brakes hanging up. Most commonly, it is a bent rim or balance issue with the tires. Is there anything you can do that changes what you feel? For example, if you apply the brakes does it go away or get worse?

If it goes away, check to make sure there are no issues with the steering components. Check for a loose tie rod or ball joint.,

I attached a pic below and highlighted the things to check for play. The wheel will need to be off the ground.
