The brake pedal is also going almost to the floor before anything happens. I have brand new disk brakes and drum brakes. The pedal problem happened after the lights came on.

This could be a wheel speed sensor issue or a larger brake issue. However, we need to start with checking for codes.

Here are some guides that will help with this:

Once we get the codes we will have a better idea but let's start with this and then we can address the pedal going to the floor. I suspect that may be related but if not then we are going to have to bleed the brakes and make sure we didn't get air in the system.

Let me know what codes we have and we can go from there. Thanks

I tried to read the codes but my reader would not display any codes. I think it’s because it’s a cheep one. There is a chance I was doing something wrong.

That is probably correct because more then likely it will not read ABS codes. These are in a different module and you need one that will do this. Are you able to get to a parts store? Most of them read codes for free. Otherwise we will need to just try and bleed the brakes and overall system and go from there. We need to start with checking the fluid level and go from there.

I am not able to get to a store I don’t think. I’m going to jack up the truck and check all the lines and fluids tomorrow and try and locate if any of the brakes are weak as well as bleed all the lines.

Found a very small whole in the break line where it seems fluid was coming out and air was getting in. Then the fluid leaked out almost empty over a few days. Not a big deal was just hard to spot the leaks because of the location.
