My 2006 Kia Optima evidently started leaking brake fluid this winter, which was not apparent until snow melt. It seemed to be slight and localized to the front of the car and more on the left side; almost directly below the brake fluid reservoir, and I assume the master cylinder. Last week, the brake system failed quite suddenly. I put the car in the garage, deciding to check the individual wheel calipers, and replacing the rotors and pads. That done, I filled the fluid reservoir, and prepared to bleed the brakes. Within 10 minutes, the 8 to 10 oz of brake fluid had all leaked out. Is there a known problem with Kia master cylinders or brake fluid reservoirs?
