Driver side wheel bearing had gone bad and caused the brake pads to wear off quick. So I parked the vehicle at home and order a new wheel bearing, new caliper, new pads, and new rotors, put everything on and the brakes were sticking on the driver side. So then I proceeded to change the rubber line that goes from the brake line to the caliper and the brake is still sticking so bad to wear on a downhill slope the vehicle will come to a stop. My mechanic had told me it could be the ABS module. So I changed out the ABS module and block and it is still sticking. We thought maybe there was a manufacturer with the original caliper, so I ordered another one and to my surprise it is still sticking. We were under the impression it would start sticking after three to five miles this morning I had drove about one hundred feet down the road to the library to use their Wi-Fi and left the vehicle running when I went to back out about a half hour later. The vehicle hardly wanted to move because of the pressure that had built up on the driver side break keep in mind I had only driven 100 feet down the road without the brakes sticking. So now I realize that was the car running and not in motion it will build up the pressure on the brake caliper to cause the brakes to stick. This has been an ongoing problem for about four months that I have been trying to solve by myself and multiple mechanics. Please if anybody has had this problem or knows how to solve it get back to me ASAP. I am about $700.00 into this project. Thank, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Let do two simple tests; when the drivers side is stuck on can you release the bleeder screw to see if there is pressure holding the caliper on? Next please check to see if the other side is doing the same thing.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
