brake pedal switch and shifter

I have replaced the brake lamp with. Now shifter is stuck in park. I over ride shifter but out of first gear it barely goes. Now wining noise and hardly any power. When parts place clears brake codes it drives fine for a day. Help!

"I have replaced the brake lamp with" with what? LED's ? if so pleas remove them and install the stock bulbs. The LED's create all kinds of back feeding problems into the electrical system.
