Brake pedal spongy

Hello, I have the listed above JX convertible with ABS brakes. I recently replaced the front pads and noticed the brakes were extremely spongy. I thought the passenger side caliper was the culprit so I replaced it but the pedal is still spongy. I bled both from brakes and nothing helped.

Good morning,

It sounds like you have air trapped in the system. Try bleeding it again.

If it does not get it out then you may need to rent a pressure bleeder. That is where you force fluid through the system to get the air out of the system.

Beyond that, you may have a bad master cylinder. After replacing the pads, you pump up the pedal and the pedal goes to the floor in that process. It may rip the seals when it travels too far.
