Replacing rotors should I replace the brake pads even though I replaced them a couple of months ago?

I replaced my front brake pads a few months ago. I didn't replace my rotors because I mistakenly ordered the wrong ones. The shop sanded the old ones down or filed them down, don't know the terminology. Now, I'm starting to hear some screeching sounds and muffled sounds I guess from the rotors. I purchased the rotors. My question is, should I replace the brake pads considering I replaced them a few months ago.

If you are hearing noises it usually isn't the rotors. Noise is usually from bad pads, poor fitment, caliper issues or binding. I would do a thorough brake job on it myself. Pull the calipers and clean/lube the slides, clean off any rust or corrosion from the hub, caliper mounts and lube the correct areas, use new brake hardware and be sure everything fits correctly. It could also be noise from a bad bearing that gets worse when you brake.
