Brake lights stay on when not braking

Brake lights stay on even when l push them. The Break light thats ln the window trunk ls only on at nite, when l have the lights on because during the day they are not on Thankyou. What ls the problem to this, ls lt an electric shortage or ls lt a fuse, l would really appreciate it thanks

Have you checked the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal?

THE WAY THE SWITCH WORKS IS VERY SIMILAR, MAYBE THE SWITCH WENT BAD......MAYBE THE PLUNGER BROKE OFF...........HAVE YOU SEEN A LITTLE PLASTIC THINGAMAJIGEE LAYING IN THE FLOOR BOARD?

MAYBE THE WHOLE SWITCH GOT JARRED OUT OF/ OR THE HOLDER FOR IT BROKE

I'LL MAKE IT EZ FOR YOU---I GRABBED A PIC FROM THE ADVANCE AUTO PARTS SITE......THIS IS WHAT YOUR WHOLE SWITCH LOOKS LIKE

A LARGE HAND MIRROR AND A GOOD FLASHLIGHT MAY MAKE IT EZier TO LOOK AT THE SITUATION, BEFORE YOU DO THE CONTORTIONIST THING TO GET TO IT WITH YOUR HANDS
