I noticed a couple of days ago my left brake light was out. when i went to replace the bulb i noticed the bulb wasn't blown. when i put the bulb back on not only didn't the brake light work but now the running light was out too. i figured the was a bad connection in the wiring or the socket. i notices there where burn marks all around the socket so i replaced the socket. before i tried to see if it worked i check see if the fuse was blown. sure enough the fuse was blown. so i replaced it. now i tried to see if it worked. now the running lights was back on but when i pressed on the brake still nothing. then i noticed my right brake light was out too. so i checked the fuse again and sure enough the fuse i just was now blown too. so now i have running lights but both brake lights are still out. what should i do?

check for a short in system it can be after the brake switch like a wire hitting the body or frame where it is bare.
