brake and tailights not comming on but right blinker works

I have a 1972 cadillac eldorado convertible and my tail lights and my brake lights are not coming on
but the right blinkers are working i was told the left turn signal switch need to be replace but would the
tail lights not come on as well.both headlight are fine.
