Brake and reverse lights not working

Brake lights and reverse lights won't engage but all other lights work.
I've checked the bulbs, ground wire and fuses, all seem fine.
Is there anything I else I'm missing?

Do you have access to a multi-meter or test light?

If you remove the bulb in it's holder and check across the terminals you should have 12 volts. This is with the bulb fitted, plugged in and turned on (either brake pedal pressed or in reverse)

If not check from a known good ground to each side of the bulb. You should have 12 volts one side and 0 volts the other side.

Please carry out these tests and report back with the results.
