When I got this 1999 BMW Z3 Roadster I could open the trunk by turning the key to the left. After a time it took 3 or 4 attempts before the key would turn to the left far enough to allow the trunk to be opened. The key will no longer turn far enough to the left to engage the lock and allow the trunk to be opened. It will only turn about 1/4 of the way. I cannot see any other way to get access to the trunk. Please give me some suggestions as to what I might try to get the trunk open. I presume that once I get it open I may need to get a new trunk lock, but I cannot imagine how I could remove the existing lock until I get the trunk opened. HELP!
